what about upgrading to aide 0.11 ?

Axel Rau
Hello,

while upgrading to aide 0.11 on Darwin, I see so many bug fixes that
I would strongly recommend to upgrade the OpenBSD port.
With my build system hopefully moving o 3.9 next week, I will give it
a try.

I don't want to be rude, but does aide do anything you can't already
do with mtree(8)?

Ciao,

You can do a lot with mtree by crafting it with shell scripts.
But having an assortment of strong hash algos, regex and a compact
config
syntax under your fingers, helps to keep the overview.

This updates the integrity checker security/aide to the latest

 From the announcement:
The most notable changes since version 0.10 are:

          * Fixed many, many bugs
          * Updated automake/autoconf scripts
          * Use snprintf by Mark Martinec if not in C library
          * Support for more (legacy) Unix systems and cygwin
          * Open files with O_NOATIME on supported Linux systems
          * Added I/ANF/ARF directives

It has been tested on OPENBSD_3_9/i386.
One issue has been fixed and pushed upstream:
