pkg_add thru a passworded proxy

frantisek holop
hi there,

i am trying to pkg_add from a passworded proxy and so far no luck.

i seem to recall FETCH_CMD, but it's not in the pkg_add man page,
and it doesn't seem to be honored.

is there a way i can use wget (or something that can do passworded
http_proxy) for fetching files with pkg_add?

also from the archives (David Gwynne)

# export http_proxy=<a href="http://user:pass@proxy:port">http://user:pass@proxy:port
# pkg_add http://host/path/package1.tgz
# pkg_add http://host/path/package2.tgz

doesnt work:

ftp: no address associated with name: user:password@myproxyserver

i have:
amaaq> set | grep http_proxy
http_proxy=http://user:password@myproxyserver:8080

You don't say which version you are using. FETCH_CMD is honored in
current. This was committed in september.

i am using a 2x feb snapshot.

reading thru the archives, i think i was missing up FETCH_CMD
from bsd.port.mk(5), that is a different one, isn't it?

still, if pkg_add honorous this variable, could it be
added to the manpage?
