>Category: kernel panic

        System      : OpenBSD 6.6
        Details     : OpenBSD 6.6-beta (GENERIC) #267: Sun Sep 29 11:26:16 MDT 2019

        Architecture: OpenBSD.i386
        Machine     : i386
>Description:
after upgrade to snapshot BUILDINFO Build date: 1570335896 - Sun
Oct  6 04:24:56 UTC 2019 i have a kernel panic on boottime while
        starting the network:
        panic: smashed stack in acpicpu_setperf
sendbug cannot be run as root because of an immediate kernel
panic from the same type. This panic is also triggered when i
run sysctl as user or as root without any arguments.
System boots fine after downgrade to snapshot BUILDINFO
        Build date: 1569779472 - Sun Sep 29 17:51:12 UTC 2019
but sysctl also triggers this bug in this version

Re: kernel-panic on starting network with -current

Theo de Raadt-2
And you choose to not submit a ddb trace?

If you read what is on your screen it says to submit a trace.

Why not?

Can you provide the acpidump output (the files in /var/db/acpi)?

A sysctl hw entropy-injection was added to /etc/rc and has exposed
a set of problems.

In automatic performance mode, reading the value also sets it (long
story)

The setting code on your machine is broken, due to some ACPI table
error or parsing of the ACPI tables.  This is being looked at, it would
be nice if you provide ACPI_DEBUG logs.

In /etc/rc change sysctl hw to sysctl hw.sensors, and avoid typing
sysctl until this is fixed.

Hi Theo and Mark,

I have solved the problems with my camera so i can take a picture from
the panic. See attached file and online here:
