first openbsd install on mac mini

mikesteinfeld
I just installed OpenBSD 3.8 on my mac mini. Pretty simple following
the install doc

Anyhow, after completing the install I grabbed ports.tar.gz from ftp

And decompressing the tarball so far has taken 10 minutes, and I am
only at ports/devel/e*

IS this to be expected?

thanks,
-mike

Do you have softdeps enabled on the file system?
