X fails in 4.6 for Toshiba Satellite 460CDX (fwd)

This machine has a  Chips and Tech. 65554 video and I guess the problems
are similar to the 65555 that had problems reported in x11@ last July.
I didn't see a solution found there.  Wish I had a week to spare to play
with parameters.

Can you try a recent snapshot ? There have been some fixes in the
chips driver since last july that didn't make it into 4.6.
