Sound skips after upgrade to 6.5

Marko Cupać
Hi,

i have problem sending directly with syspatch as my evil ISP blocked
outgoing port 25, so I'm pasting to standard email.

>Synopsis: Audio is distorted and skips after upgrade to 6.5
>Category: system
>Environment:
        System      : OpenBSD 6.5
        Details     : OpenBSD 6.5 (GENERIC.MP) #3: Sat Apr 13 14:48:43 MDT 2019
                         [hidden email]:/usr/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/GENERIC.MP

        Architecture: OpenBSD.amd64
        Machine     : amd64
>Description:
Since I upgraded my ThinkPad T440 to 6.5, sound is distorted and choppy.
There's BIOS setting to toggle access to microphone. When I/O for mic is
disabled, there are problems with sound. When I/O for mic is enabled,
        sound is fine.
>How-To-Repeat:
Set I/O for mic in BIOS to 'enabled' and boot to OpenBSD 6.5. Sound is
        distorted and choppy.
>Fix:
I work around this by setting I/O for mic in BIOS to 'disabled' which
makes sound work ok, but I would prefer to keep mic disabled in BIOS as
I boot to other OSes on this laptop.

Re: Sound skips after upgrade to 6.5

Marko Cupać
Hi,

I noticed error in my original bug report.

Sound is fine when mic is _enabled_ in BIOS, has problems when mic is
_disabled_ in BIOS.
