Re: new audio drivers for macppc

Thorsten Johannvorderbrueggen
Hello all,

i'd like to test the driver, but god some error during installation:

I want to install OBSD on a iBook-G4 (Jul05), while the're is already a Slackintosh installation on it. Here's my plot (made with mac-fdisk on Slackintosh):

[tjohann@setoy ~] $ sudo /sbin/mac-fdisk /dev/hda
/dev/hda
Command (? for help): p
/dev/hda
        #                    type name                  length   base      ( size )  system
/dev/hda1     Apple_partition_map Apple                     63 @ 1         ( 31.5k)  Partition map
/dev/hda2         Apple_Bootstrap bootstrap               1600 @ 64        (800.0k)  NewWorld bootblock
/dev/hda3         Apple_UNIX_SVR2 Slackintosh         52428800 @ 1664      ( 25.0G)  Linux native
/dev/hda4         Apple_UNIX_SVR2 OpenBSD             20971520 @ 52430464  ( 10.0G)  Linux native
/dev/hda5         Apple_UNIX_SVR2 Home                12582912 @ 73401984  (  6.0G)  Linux native
/dev/hda6         Apple_UNIX_SVR2 Shared              29360128 @ 85984896  ( 14.0G)  Linux native
/dev/hda7         Apple_UNIX_SVR2 swap                 1865216 @ 115345024 (910.8M)  Linux swap

Block size=512, Number of Blocks=117210240
DeviceType=0x0, DeviceId=0x0

Command (? for help):

During installation i moved the name of hda4 to OpenBSD and started disklabel to make to labels (swap: begin 52430464, size 1572128; root: begin 54002592, size 19399392). All work fine till i want to store it: disklabel says: "... ioctl DIOCWDINFO: Operation not permitted". After chanceling formatting and rebooting ... disklabel has not labels. Is there're a problem with the Jul05-iBooks? Has anyone a working installation (also with linux)?

Any suggestions would be fine!

Bye
  Thorsten
