KDE/db4 Permissions / ownership

dfeustel
What does the s-flag do in the kde programs listed below?
(When I attempt to run klickety or kmines, I get

/usr/local/bin}klickety
The KDE libraries are not designed to run with suid privileges.
/usr/local/bin}

-rwsr-xr-x  1 root  bin        11044 Sep  2 16:41 kcheckpass
-rwxr-sr-x  1 root  nogroup    44228 Sep  2 16:41 kdesud
-rwxr-sr-x  1 root  bin       362180 Sep  4 05:40 kfouleggs
-rwxr-sr-x  1 root  bin       147716 Sep  4 05:40 klickety
-rwxr-sr-x  1 root  bin       240228 Sep  4 05:40 kmines
-rwsr-xr-x  1 root  bin         5540 Sep  2 15:17 kpac_dhcp_helper
-rwsr-xr-x  1 root  bin       514468 Sep  4 08:15 kppp
-rwxr-sr-x  1 root  bin       359300 Sep  4 05:40 ksirtet

Also, I found a bunch of programs owned by 276 with group wsrc:

/usr/local/bin}ls -l * |grep 276
-r-xr-xr-x  1 276   wsrc        6212 Sep  2 11:51 db4_archive
-r-xr-xr-x  1 276   wsrc       10724 Sep  2 11:51 db4_checkpoint
-r-xr-xr-x  1 276   wsrc       10532 Sep  2 11:51 db4_deadlock
-r-xr-xr-x  1 276   wsrc       11076 Sep  2 11:51 db4_dump
-r-xr-xr-x  1 276   wsrc        5924 Sep  2 11:51 db4_dump185
-r-xr-xr-x  1 276   wsrc       20196 Sep  2 11:51 db4_load
-r-xr-xr-x  1 276   wsrc       10564 Sep  2 11:51 db4_printlog
-r-xr-xr-x  1 276   wsrc       10468 Sep  2 11:51 db4_recover
-r-xr-xr-x  1 276   wsrc       27652 Sep  2 11:51 db4_stat
-r-xr-xr-x  1 276   wsrc        6276 Sep  2 11:51 db4_upgrade
-r-xr-xr-x  1 276   wsrc       10532 Sep  2 11:51 db4_verify

Should the 276:wsrc be changed to root:bin?

Thanks,
Dave Feustel

those files have root:bin here, yes. so it looks like this has been
fixed in -current.  in future please indicate which version of OpenBSD
and the package/port you are looking at...
