Hard lock in chromium when playing fullscreen video

>Description:

When trying to play a video in chromium, everything works as expected until
the video is fullscreened.  Upon fullscreening, the video continues playing
1-2 seconds, then freezes.  Audio continues playing in a short loop (I assume
the soundcard buffer), and the systems becomes totally unresponsive.  The
screen still displays whatever was last being shown when the system locks.  No
core dump file seems to be present, and no useful log entries can be found.

>How-To-Repeat:

Launch chromium (I'm using an inteldrm card), enable "Use hardware
acceleration when available", play a video, and fullscreen.  Potentially
observe system lock (it's 100% for me).

>Fix:

Disable "Use hardware acceleration when available" in chromium settings.

FWIW, I have the exact same issue on the same intel card, on a thinkpad X1 carbon 6th gen, and I have a bug posted on this list for it as well.

FWIW I'm no longer seeing this behavior on a more recent snapshot:

chromium-76.0.3809.87

I've seen work in both the chromium and X11 related areas since this bug
was around, so not really sure what the fix was.  I could bisect if
someone was really interested.
