G4 Tower and Xorg?

Joe Lannon
I have a PowerMac G4 with R128 AGP 16MB video.  Xorg will run without
a configure file, but it's stuck at 800x600.

As soon as I generate an xorg.conf, it won't go any further than
xinit: "Connection refused (errno 61): unable to connect to X server".
I've tried changing a bunch of settings to no avail.

Anyone know how to get one of these up and going?  Thanks.

This probably means that your xorg.conf is invalid and generates some error.

Look in /var/log/Xorg.0.log for error messages and try to fix them.

That log file was a great help.  It had some error about opening FBDev.  I
just had to put in an Option FBDev False and the generated file from X
-configure worked out of the box from t here.  Thanks!
