BananaPro (Allwiner A20) installation succesfull, but can't boot from SD card

Hello,

I have managed to successfully install -current on BananaPro (allegedly the
same board as BananaPi plus wi-fi), but the boot can't be completed because
"boot device: lookup 'sd0a:/bsd' failed"
although it was initially found (as shown in the typescript bellow).

I performed the install(s) from a SD card plugged into micro card slot to
another SD card plugged into usb card reader. I did edit partition sizes
suggested by autopartition. Upon completing the install I place the target
SD card into the micro card slot and try to boot.

Please advise if I am missing something obvious.

Several times I also tried with interrupting the boot and

        => run findfdt
        => load mmc 0:1 ${fdt_addr_r} ${fdtfile}
        => load mmc 0:1 ${kernel_addr_r} efi/boot/bootarm.efi
        => bootefi ${kernel_addr_r} ${fdt_addr_r}

as per the instructions
ftp://ftp.obsd.si/pub/OpenBSD/snapshots/armv7/INSTALL.armv7

But with the same result.

It seems that "the mistery" is solved - OpenBSD doesn't have support for
ommc http://man.openbsd.org/OpenBSD-current/man4/armv7/ommmc.4 on sunxi
https://www.openbsd.org/armv7.html

Once the miniroot is written to usb stick it is able to install on the same
usb stick.

In the case I am still wrong about this, don't be shy to write it here,
someone might read it in future.

ommmc is for omap not sunxi.  sximmc is the sunxi equivalent.

sximmc0: timeout updating clock
sdmmc0: can't enable card
sximmc0: timeout updating clock

If the cause of that were found and fixed, sd0 would attach.
sximmc works on other a20 based systems, it isn't clear what
makes this one different besides having multiple sximmc devices.

Thank you for your input.

For the record, FreeBSD 11.0-RC3 worked on each of these SD cards.

In the case that it might obe of interest for anyone, i paste here a new
typescript, starting from downloading and veryfing the images, preparing
miniroot and starting the installation, which cannot recognize the sd card
on which it is running, showing no available disks. That is why I tried to
install from one SD card to another, thinking it is supposed to be so until
I saw that usb stick recognizes itself as the target disk.
