AR5416-2133 hostap mode not working

Im using the ar5416-2133 upon trying to put it into hostap mode it doesn't
work. Steps to reproduce are...

1: run ifconfig athn0 mediaopt hostap nwid test chan 1 up


here's my dmesg

Try :
ifconfig athn0 media

to see in the 'supported media' section if hostap mode is supported by
your device.
