3.8 Panic in pool_get(vmmpepl)

Aaron Wirtz
I have a machine which I am trying to use as an
OpenBSD server/router at home.  I am using the current
3.8 kernel.  While performing only routing tasks, it
will survive up to several weeks before a panic.  If I
do something memory/disk intensive such as a large
"make", it panics fairly quickly.
I have seen the magic number during the panic show up
as one of several values close to, but not exactly
"deadbeef". (the values in the 0xAD position varied)
Let me know if you want me to run any other tests or
dumps.  If you would like me to test a patched kernel,
please build it for me as I do not have a spare
OpenBSD machine to build on.
Thanks.

-Aaron

Here is a serial capture of the machine from boot> to
panic including dmesg and trace.
